Our heavy-duty transmission detent springs are designed to replace the factory parts with an 80% stiffer spring rate and increased preload. This upgrade aids the transmission gear selector fork, resulting in sharper gear engagements.
Our Heavy-Duty Gear Selector Springs upgrade the side-side movement of the shifter, while our detent springs enhance the forward-back movement. Once installed, you will immediately notice a change in feel. Replacing the worn-out detent springs will give new life to your gear changes.
Depending on the application, these springs may be over 80% stiffer than the stock Honda hardware. Please refer to the installation instructions for the Honda K-Series transmission, and for all other Honda transmission installations, refer to the factory Honda manual.
Some Honda transmission applications will only require two of the three springs. For example, the Honda B-Series transmission has only two external detent springs, the other being internal. To change the third spring, you must remove and separate the transmission case, and the internal spring actuates the 5th/reverse gate.
The Honda K-Series transmission detent bolts should be torqued to 16 lb-ft (22 N-m / 2.2 kg-m), and all three springs should be used.

Fitment:
- Most Honda Manual Transmissions Only
- Honda B-Series FWD, F-Series FWD (F20/F22A) & H-Series will use only two of the three included springs.
- Honda B-Series AWD, Honda K-Series FWD & AWD, and Honda D-Series 96-00 ONLY will use all three springs.
