The NB Mx5 comes with its own liquid-to-liquid oil cooler, which does a good job when daily driving but does start to struggle with long sessions on the track.

Another great feature of the Mishimoto Mx5 Oil Cooler Kit is the mounting bracket, which is designed to leave enough room in the front bumper to still run an intercooler.

This Mishimoto oil cooler kit is supplied with a billet aluminium thermostatic oil sandwich plate to make sure your oil warms up to the correct temperature quickly and then opens up, keeping the oil at the perfect running temperature.

NOTES

Recommended torque specification for all straight fittings and banjo bolts: 15-25 ft/lbs (operating range). Do not exceed the maximum torque rating of 35 ft/lbs.The installation of this kit requires cutting the plastic undertray.

OEM part number for plastic undertray is NA01-56-111F. During our testing, we had no issues with oil cooler damage, but if concerned, we recommend purchasing window screen or chicken wire to provide additional protection to the oil cooler core.
