Exoracing Turbo Downpipe Gasket Installation Guide:

We've put together a step-by-step guide to help you successfully install your new downpipe gasket. The procedure varies slightly between different car models, but the principles remain the same. We recommend a professional installation if you need more confidence in doing the job yourself. 

1. Ensure your engine is switched off and everything is cool to touch if the car has recently been driven. 
2. Locate and remove any o2 sensors in the downpipe exhaust section. 
3. Remove the bolts holding the downpipe in at either end. (You may not need to fully remove the downpipe to change the gasket but it's good practice as then you can properly check the flanges for damage.) 
4. Remove the downpipe from the vehicle and check the condition of the flanges that connect the turbo to the downpipe.
5. Once you're happy the flanges are clean and free from defects; you can put your new gasket in and reinstall your downpipe. 
6. Reinstall all removed hardware to get the downpipe out, and tighten all hardware to the manufacturer's recommended specs using a calibrated torque wrench. 
7. Reinstall the o2 sensor if you had to remove one during installation. 
8. Once you have done this, run the car through a few heat cycles and then allow it to cool fully. 
9. Recheck all the torque values on the removed hardware in case any have come loose.
