Honda calls these the "1st-2nd Select Spring" and "5th-6th Select Spring." The gearbox springs are partially responsible for your shifter centring itself when in neutral.
Increasing the rate and preload of these springs makes it possible to achieve a more decisive centring action for a sportier, more substantial shift.
