Our Stainless Steel braided rubber hose is compatible with our range of swivel seal hose ends, which, when used, will give you a seal capable of holding up to 3750 psi! However, we recommend NOT using regular hose clamps and finishers, as they will not give you the seal they would with a proper hose end.
The stainless steel braiding that encases the rubber core is the best option for lines that might have to pass through areas where you could encounter rubbing during track time, as it offers more protection than the nylon braiding. However, the nylon braiding provides more flexibility and a stealthier look. We want to offer you as many options as possible so you can use the very best configuration of hoses for your specific application.
Our Stainless Steel braided rubber hose is an excellent solution for making coolant, oil and fuel lines, but there are a few situations where we'd advise using a PTFE core instead of rubber; fuel lines that run through the inside of the car MUST be constructed with a PTFE core, as the rubber core slowly release fuel vapours, which the scrutineering people wouldn't be happy to see! Another occasion where a PTFE core must be used is in cars where you plan on running a high ethanol content race fuel as the ethanol will eat away at a rubber core over time, eventually leaving you with a nasty fuel leak that could cause a lot of trouble!
Our Stainless Steel braided rubber hose is manufactured using AN sizing, which is commonly used in the automotive industry, especially motorsport. AN sizing also keeps things simple when it comes to pairing up hoses and fittings, as an AN10 hose will fit with an AN10 hose end!
You can order our Stainless Steel braided rubber hose in uncut lengths up to 20m! So, for example, if you order a quantity of 4, you will receive one uncut length of hose 4 metres long.
