Which Size Should I Choose?
- 15mm ID: choose this for smaller hoses, wiring runs, sensor wiring, small vacuum lines, small fuel lines or compact loom sections.
- 20mm ID: choose this for medium hoses, AN lines, coolant lines, oil lines or slightly larger wiring runs.
- 25mm ID: choose this for larger hoses, thicker AN lines, grouped wiring looms or pipework that needs more clearance.
- 30mm ID: choose this for larger hose bundles, thicker coolant hoses, large looms or areas where you need extra room around the line.
Measure the outside diameter of the hose, wire bundle or line you want to protect. If it sits between two sizes, choose the larger size so the Velcro can close properly without pulling tight or leaving gaps.
Gold Or Silver Velcro Heat Sleeve?
- Gold: choose this if you want a more visible motorsport-style finish, or if you already use gold reflective products in the engine bay.
- Silver: choose this if you want a cleaner, more subtle look that blends in with silver heat shielding, alloy parts and pipework.
Both colour options are designed for the same job: quick fit radiant heat protection for hoses, wiring and lines.
Why Should You Use Velcro Heat Sleeve?
Engine bay heat can damage hoses, wiring, fuel lines, brake lines, oil lines and coolant lines, especially when they run close to manifolds, turbochargers, downpipes, wastegates or exhaust sections. Over time, too much heat can make rubber brittle, harden insulation, increase fluid temperature and create avoidable reliability problems.
Exoracing Velcro Heat Sleeve creates a reflective barrier around the part you want to protect. Because it opens and closes with Velcro, it is especially useful when the hose or wiring is already fitted, and you do not want to disconnect the line.
This makes it a strong choice for turbo builds, K swaps, track cars, drift cars, modified engine bays, AN line installs and any setup where heat protection needs to be added after the car is already built.
For the best heat management setup, control heat at the source first with products such as Exoracing exhaust wrap, a turbo blanket or a heat shield, then protect nearby lines with a sleeve where needed.
When Should You Fit a Velcro Heat Sleeve?
- Your hose, wiring or line is already fitted, and you do not want to remove it.
- Your AN line, coolant hose, oil line, fuel line or brake line runs close to a hot manifold, turbo, downpipe or exhaust section.
- You need quick fit protection before a track day, dyno session or hard road use.
- You are fixing a heat problem after the car has already been built.
- You need access later and want a sleeve that can be opened again if required.
- You are protecting grouped wiring or hoses where a sewn sleeve would be harder to install.
Velcro Heat Sleeve vs Sewn Heat Sleeve vs Silicone Heat Sleeve
Velcro heat sleeve is best when the hose, wiring or line is already installed, and you want to fit protection without disconnecting anything. A sewn heat sleeve is better when you can slide the sleeve over the hose before installation, and you want a closed sleeve. Silicone fibreglass heat sleeve is the better choice for higher temperature areas or harsher environments where the Velcro closure is not suitable.
If you need to protect a flat panel, airbox or intake area instead of a hose or line, use a gold or silver heat reflective sheet. For the full range, view the Exoracing heat management range.

Velcro Heat Sleeve Installation Guide:
This sleeve is designed to be easy to fit around existing hoses, wiring and lines without disconnecting them.
- Measure the outside diameter of the hose, wiring or line you want to protect.
- Choose the closest inner diameter size above your measurement.
- Cut the sleeve to the length needed using sharp scissors or suitable cutting tools.
- Wear gloves if your skin is sensitive to laminated glass cloth.
- Open the Velcro closure and wrap the sleeve around the hose, cable or line.
- Close the Velcro fully so there are no large gaps facing the heat source.
- Rotate the sleeve so the Velcro edge and logo tag do not face or touch the direct heat source.
- Check that the sleeve is not touching the manifold, turbo, downpipe, wastegate or exhaust.
- After the first drive, recheck that the sleeve has not moved and the Velcro is still fully closed.
Installation difficulty: simple DIY item.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which size Velcro heat sleeve do I need?
Measure the outside diameter of the hose, wiring or line you are protecting and choose the closest sleeve size above that measurement. If the measurement sits between two sizes, choose the larger size so the Velcro can close properly.
Can I fit this without removing the hose or cable?
Yes. The Velcro closure lets you open the sleeve, wrap it around an existing hose, wiring loom or AN line, and fasten it without disconnecting the line.
Should I choose gold or silver?
Choose gold if you want a more visible motorsport-style finish. Choose silver if you want a more subtle look. Both options are designed for reflective radiant heat protection.
Can this touch a turbo, manifold or downpipe?
No. This sleeve is for protecting nearby hoses, wiring and lines from radiant heat. It should not touch a turbo, manifold, downpipe, wastegate or exhaust pipe.
What is the maximum temperature?
The maximum temperature is 250°C.
How much do I get?
Each item is sold in 0.5m lengths, and it can be supplied up to 1m continuous.
When should I use a silicone fibreglass heat sleeve instead?
Use a silicone fibreglass heat sleeve when the area is hotter, harsher, closer to direct heat, or where a Velcro closure is not suitable. Velcro sleeve is best for quick fitting around already installed lines.
Notes:
- Measure the outside diameter of the hose, wiring or line before ordering.
- Choose the closest size up so the Velcro can close properly.
- This sleeve must not touch a direct heat source.
- Do not use on parts that exceed the 250°C rating.
- Do not place the Velcro closure or logo tag against the heat source.
- Wear gloves when installing if the laminated glass cloth irritates your skin.
- Check the sleeve after the first heat cycle or drive to make sure it has not moved.
- For hotter areas, use a higher temperature heat sleeve instead.
