If you are adding a turbo oil feed or extra oil monitoring, the factory oil pressure sensor port is often one of the cleanest places to take a feed or reading from. The problem is that engines, sensors and aftermarket gauges do not all use the same thread type, so choosing the wrong adapter can cause leaks, poor fitment or an installation that cannot be finished.

Start by identifying the thread in your engine block's oil pressure sensor port and the thread on the original oil pressure sensor. Then choose the adapter that matches the inlet and outlet threads, and gives you the centre tap thread needed for your gauge, sensor or turbo oil feed.

Correct thread selection and sealing are essential. If the adapter or sensor leaks, stop the engine immediately and fix the issue before driving.
- Confirm the engine is switched off, cool, and safe to work on.
- Identify the factory oil pressure sensor port and confirm the thread type before removing anything.
- Remove the stock oil pressure sensor carefully.
- Install the Exoracing adapter into the engine block using the supplied crush washer where required.
- Tighten carefully. Around 18Nm is a useful guide, but thread condition and thread type can change the final requirement.
- For NPT-style threads, use a suitable sealing method where required and do not over-tighten tapered threads.
- Reinstall the original oil pressure sensor into the adapter outlet.
- Install your additional sensor or turbo oil feed into the centre port.
- Start the engine, check oil pressure, and inspect every threaded joint for leaks before driving.
