Why Should You Use An Exoracing Engraved Flush Spark Plug Cover?

The factory Honda plastic spark plug cover can look bulky and dated, especially in a cleaned, painted or tucked K-series engine bay. It hides the coil area, but it does not give the lower-profile finish many EP3, DC5 and K-swap builds are aiming for.

The Exoracing engraved flush spark plug cover gives the top of the rocker cover a cleaner, flatter look while still covering the coil and plug area. Each cover is made from laser-cut 3mm aluminium, countersunk, folded to suit the rocker cover shape, then finished in textured black powder coat with the Exoracing logo engraved in-house.

Exoracing Engraved Flush Spark Plug Cover Installation Guide:

This cover is a straightforward engine bay dress-up part, but the factory plastic wire housing and two OEM studs must be removed for the flush fit.

1. Allow the engine to cool fully before working around the rocker cover.
2. Remove the factory spark plug cover by undoing the four original nuts on top of the rocker cover.
3. Remove the factory plastic spark plug wiring housing so the Exoracing cover can sit flush.
4. Remove the two OEM rocker cover studs that line up with the new cover mounting holes. Use the correct tool and take care, as older studs can be seized.
5. Place one supplied spacer under each cover mounting hole.
6. Position the Exoracing flush spark plug cover and install the two supplied countersunk M6 Torx bolts.
7. Tighten the bolts securely by hand, but do not over-tighten them into the rocker cover.
8. After a few heat cycles, recheck the bolts are still tight.

Installation difficulty: simple to moderate DIY. Professional installation is recommended if the OEM studs are seized or you are not confident removing them.
