Why Should You Use Titanium Intake Or Exhaust Studs?
Factory Honda intake and exhaust manifold bolts can become rusty, rounded, too short or weak after years of heat cycles and removal. This becomes even more obvious when fitting aftermarket manifolds, thermal intake gaskets or turbo manifolds, because the flange and gasket stack can be thicker than the original Honda setup.
These Exoracing studs are longer than many OEM manifold fasteners and are made from Grade 5 titanium for excellent corrosion resistance, strength-to-weight ratio and engine bay finish. They are a smart upgrade when you are already replacing a manifold, chasing an exhaust leak, fitting a thermal gasket, or refreshing a Honda engine bay.
Unlike normal bolts, studs also make manifold installation easier because the gasket and manifold can be located on the studs before the nuts are tightened. That is especially useful when installing heavier exhaust manifolds, awkward intake manifolds or turbo conversion manifolds.

Exoracing Titanium Intake And Exhaust Stud Kit Installation Guide
- Confirm the original intake or exhaust manifold thread is M8x1.25.
- Remove the old studs or bolts carefully. If they are corroded, use the correct penetrating fluid and take your time to avoid damaging the cylinder head threads.
- Apply a small amount of suitable anti-seize to the titanium stud threads before installing them into an aluminium cylinder head.
- Install the Exoracing titanium studs using a 3mm Allen key or hex socket. Do not exceed 30Nm / 22lbft on the stud.
- Fit the gasket and manifold over the studs.
- Install the supplied titanium flanged nuts and tighten to the correct OEM/manufacturer torque setting for your engine and manifold.
- After a few heat cycles, recheck and retorque the studs and nuts if required.
