Why Use Exoracing Heat Shrink Tags?

Nothing ruins a clean build faster than messy details: sleeve ends creeping up the hose, braid fraying at the edges, and wiring runs that never look quite finished. Heat shrink tags give those areas a cleaner, more intentional finish.

Slip the tag over the sleeve, loom or hose end, apply steady heat with a heat gun, and the 3:1 shrink ratio pulls the tag tight. This helps lock the sleeve in place, tidy the end of the run, and reduce fraying or loose edges.

They are especially useful when finishing AN hose and heat sleeve setups. Pair them with Exoracing silicone fibreglass heat sleeve for planned high-temperature line protection, or use them on braided sleeve and wiring looms where you want a neat, low-profile finish.

Which Size Should I Choose?

• 18mm 3:1 Shrink: choose this for smaller hose, wiring, loom and sleeve ends. It shrinks down to approximately 6mm.
• 39mm 3:1 Shrink: choose this for larger hose assemblies, bigger sleeve ends, or where the tag needs to pass over a larger fitting before shrinking. It shrinks down to approximately 13mm.

Measure the largest outside diameter the tag needs to pass over before shrinking. This may be the hose, sleeve, braid, wiring bundle or fitting. Choose the smallest tag that will slide over that largest point and still shrink firmly onto the final area.

Installation Guide

1. Measure the largest outside diameter the tag needs to slide over before shrinking.
2. Test-fit the tag over the sleeve, hose, loom or fitting before applying heat.
3. Slide the tag into its final position at the end of the sleeve, braid or wiring run.
4. Apply even heat with a heat gun, moving continuously to avoid scorching.
5. Allow the tag to cool before handling.
6. For areas close to exhaust or turbo heat, protect the line with suitable heat sleeve first and keep the tag away from direct flame or contact heat.

How do I pick the right size?

Can I use these with heat sleeve?

Can I use these instead of clamps?

No. These are finishing tags, not pressure-rated clamps. Do not use them as a substitute for proper hose clamps, AN fittings or load-bearing fasteners.

Can I use them near turbo or exhaust heat?

They are rated to +125°C and are suitable for typical under-bonnet and cabin use, but they should be kept away from direct flame, exhaust contact or turbo/downpipe hotspots. Use proper heat sleeve or shielding where needed.

Are they reusable?

No. Once shrunk, they are not designed to be expanded and reused. Cut them off and replace them if you need to rework the area.
