Are you planning to upgrade your sport compact's engine? Beware of the harmful crankshaft torsional vibrations you may encounter. However, there is a solution to this issue. The Fluidampr viscous damper is the perfect choice for reducing wear on your main bearings and timing gear, improving valvetrain operation accuracy, and minimizing the risk of crank failure.

What makes the Fluidampr damper even more impressive is its ability to self-tune in real time and adapt to any changes you make to your engine. This guarantees that it delivers optimal damping consistently, even at peak levels and varying frequencies. As the engine revs up, the damper suspends the inertia ring, reducing the weight felt on the crankshaft, ensuring ideal dampening while maintaining quick revs.

If you're worried about potential risks from the turbo and NOS power surges, the Fluidampr damper is the product for you. With precision-machined and computer-balanced components, it is a reliable and long-lasting investment. It is also SFI-approved, made in the USA, and ISO certified to meet the highest quality and safety standards.

Notes:

  • Fluidamprs are designed with a tighter fit for increased damper performance.
  • Check the area around the Fluidampr for possible interference with other aftermarket parts. Fluidampr 620601 will require slight trimming of the plastic timing cover to accommodate the 40% under drive pulley.
  • Ensure the flywheel bolts are the correct length when using aftermarket crankshafts and flywheels. Tapped hole depths and flange thicknesses can vary enough for the flywheel bolts to bottom out. CHECK THE FLYWHEEL BOLT LENGTH IN EVERY THREADED HOLE. Add a drop of Loctite (or equivalent) to each bolt and torque flywheel bolts to the factory torque specification. DO NOT OVER-TORQUE FLYWHEEL BOLTS; THEY WILL YIELD AND FAIL. DO NOT USE AN IMPACT DRIVER TO TIGHTEN THE FLYWHEEL BOLTS. Failure to use the proper flywheel bolt length and to properly torque the flywheel bolts can cause them to back out while the engine is operating. This can cause main bearing caps to crack, fractured oil pump gears, a loose crankshaft bolt, and other internal engine damage.
