The job of your turbo gasket is to sit between your turbo and manifold, sealing the two mating faces together and ensuring there are no exhaust leaks. An exhaust leak between your manifold and turbo would not only cost you in performance but can even be an MOT failure, as harmful gases will escape your exhaust and enter the cabin. 

Our turbo gaskets are manufactured using extremely precise cutting machines that will guarantee OEM levels of fitment. We have chosen to use 304 stainless steel as it offers excellent formability for when the gaskets are pressed but also extremely corrosion-resistant, meaning you won't have to worry about your gasket rusting away! 

When fitting your new turbo gasket, the only way to truly ensure a perfect seal is to make sure the two mating surfaces are perfectly flat. You can get them resurfaced at your local machine shop. We also recommend changing your turbo gasket every time you remove your turbo from the manifold.

Exoracing T6 Twinscroll Turbocharger Gasket Installation Guide:

Below is a step-by-step guide to fitting your own T6 turbo gasket. You must be confident working on your car to do this successfully; if not, we recommend a professional installation. 

1. First, you must make sure your engine is switched off and has cooled down if it was recently running. 
2. Start by removing all oil/water lines from your turbo; be ready to catch any fluids that may spill out from the lines. 
3. Undo and remove all hardware securing your turbo to the manifold and also your turbo to downpipe.
4. You can now safely remove your turbo from the car, ready for inspection.
5. Check that the mating flanges between the turbo and manifold are clean and free from warping and defects. If any warping or defects are found, take these to your local machine shop to get the mating faces resurfaced. (It is also a good idea to check your turbo for play and oil leaks whilst you have access) 
6. You can now reinstall your turbo using your new gasket and threading in all securing hardware that was previously removed. 
7. Tighten all hardware back to the manufacturer's specs using a calibrated torque wrench. 
8. Now, reinstall any oil/water lines previously removed.
9. It's now time to run your engine through a few heat cycles.
10. Once fully cooled, review all previously removed hardware and ensure they are still at the recommended torque values. 
11. You can now take your car for a well-deserved drive, knowing you won't have exhaust leaks between your turbo and manifold. Remember to take pictures and tag us @exoracinguk
